Press Release. New Leader in the Business Analytics Market: Part of Softwerk Team Joins Intelex Insight
A business analytics team from Softwerk has joined Intelex Insight, which has been providing business analytics services for nearly 15 years. The team will continue its operations within Intelex Insight. As a result of the transaction, the largest business analytics and artificial intelligence competence center in the Baltics will be formed, combining the experience and expertise of both organizations.
“The goal of the merger is to consolidate the rapidly evolving market for business analytics and AI solutions and to build the capability to deliver larger and more complex projects than before. The expanded center will open its doors in Telliskivi Creative City, where a team of more than 30 specialists will serve clients across the Baltics and Poland. Further expansion into international markets is also planned,” said Kaur Kivirähk.
Responsibility for the company’s international expansion will be taken on by Agu Vahur, who recently joined Intelex’s ownership structure and is widely known as the former CEO of CV-Online. “Vahur’s greatest strength lies in managing international growth, and to achieve this goal, we plan to further expand the team,” added Kivirähk.
The transaction comes at a time when the business analytics and AI market is entering a phase of rapid growth. “Where quarterly financial data once sufficed for managing a company, today decisions are made in real time - often before traditional reports are even completed,” Kivirähk explained. “The business analytics market is driven by a clear need: there is more data than ever before, but the ability to interpret and act on it quickly has become a decisive competitive advantage.”
This trend is also reflected in the numbers - over the past five years, the business analytics market in Europe has grown by nearly 10% annually, with a projected growth of 20% over the next five-year period. The growth of AI solutions is expected to reach around 40% over the next five years. At the same time, only about half of companies currently use business analytics, and among small businesses the figure is just around 11%, indicating significant untapped potential,” Kivirähk noted.
According to Kivirähk, success today does not belong to those who have more data, but to those who can act on it faster. This need is driving the entire market and creating opportunities for new leaders. “The integration of Softwerk’s business analytics unit into Intelex is an important step in our growth strategy,” he commented.
Kristjan Gerndorf, Member of the Management Board of Softwerk, confirmed that cooperation between Softwerk and Intelex Insight will continue in the future. “We see great potential in this partnershipthe combined team enables us to deliver greater value to existing clients and opens up new development opportunities for employees,” said Gerndorf. Both aspects of the transaction - the integration of the organizations and the strengthening of the ownership structure - create the conditions for faster growth and a stronger market position.
Following the sale of its business analytics unit, Softwerk will focus on providing AI-powered software development services, leveraging its strong domain expertise in building complex systems.
